Surprise!!! (Well, technically, he was planned, but still…) We are expecting Baby Boy Henson this December—Dec. 6th, to be exact!

Before we even kissed, I asked my now-husband whether he’d be open to having any more kids and he answered yes without hesitation. 🥺 It wasn’t necessarily a screening type of question, as I’d already fallen hopelessly in love with him from a distance and would have been open to exploring a relationship with my “celebrity crush” (more on the “from a distance”/”celebrity crush” details of our love story another time) regardless of his stance on having additional children. But my husband’s all-in intentions toward me and his enthusiasm for building a life together—metaphorically AND literally!—made me fall hopefully in love from up close, too. That, his success in raising our current boys, and his unwavering faith in Christ make me feel safe, secure, and confident to have a baby with him. I am so inordinately overjoyed for this new adventure, and I hope Baby Boy is just like his Daddy! 🙏🏻

We found out I was pregnant on Easter Sunday, and our boy is due on the German holiday Nikolaus (St. Nicholas Day), not to mention during the month his Savior was born (which is also the month that his mama was born… and that his brother was born… and that his other brother was born…). We shared the news on the Fourth of July on social media, and I wanted to post here as well!

I can’t wait to continue to document and share the journey. Almost two years ago, I married into motherhood, and now we are creating a biological baby of both of our own—the adventure grows every single day. Our entire family is feeling so blessed!
